Bard's Guild (吟遊詩人の組合) was an association of bards in the New World.

Background[]

The main business of the Bard's Guild was managing the activities of bards.

Chronology[]

Mass for the Dead Arc[]

Main article: Mass for the Dead Arc

At the Singing Apple Pavilion in Arwintar, the members of New Six Arms, minus Iguva=41, notice a bard singing a ballad of Emperor Jircniv Rune Farlord El-Nix role in wiping out a horde of Chaos Beasts threatening E-Rantel. The veteran members of Six Arms saw the ballad as nothing more than propaganda invented by the emperor as they were the ones leading the worker force that helped defeat the horde.

Regi and Shizuni displayed interest in the profession, especially hearing that bards spread glory and deeds of people. When they brought the idea of using bards to spread the Sorcerer Kingdom reputation abroad to Momonga, by creating their own band of bards, there was concern that doing so would cause a conflict with the Bard's Guild who are suppose to be independent and not subjected to national interests.

Momonga believed that the guild could be appeased by offering them a subsidy in the name of cross-cultural exchange.[1]

Strength[]

For anyone to become a bard, according to Malmvist it is required for them to register at the Bard's Guild. Besides providing entertainment, the bards in its ranks provide and spread information to the masses.

Trivia[]

  • This guild is only mentioned in the game universe.
