Baldo Lauffray (バルド・ロフーレ) is a well-known provision merchant who operates in E-Rantel.
Appearance[]
Baldo is a big-bellied man, who dresses elegantly due to his successful and extravagant life as a merchant. He is clean-shaven, with black hair streaked with many strands of white hair due to his already ripe age.
In the manga, he is not clean-shaven.
Personality[]
Baldo is a calculating but good-willed person, thus he is always seeking for more ways to increase his business. However, despite his ulterior motive to gain a profit, he does have genuine concern about the safety of others, though that usually doesn't stop him from accepting a reward for a small deed of kindness and concern.

Baldo Lauffray is a well-known provision merchant that controls a considerable amount of the food trade within the walled city of E-Rantel.[1]

The Bloody Valkyrie Arc[]

At E-Rantel, Baldo makes an acquaintance with Sebas Tian, the loyal butler of a visiting heiress from the Empire. Before the two visitors leave E-Rantel, Baldo shared his concerns with Sebas Tian about their hired hand, Zach. He warns them that Zach might have nefarious intentions and that he should be on his guard. He offers to recommend his mistress more competent bodyguards, however, Sebas declines his offer twice. Despite their disagreement about Zach's trustworthiness, the aged butler gave his thanks to the merchant for his consideration and for his trouble, Sebas offered to recommend him to his mistress's father once they return to their homeland.[2]
Abilities and Powers[]
Baldo is one of the most influential people in all of E-Rantel and has many connections. As one of the merchants that control the food industry, he possesses much authority in the city.[3]
Relationships[]
Sebas Tian[]
He believes Sebas Tian to be a loyal servant of a powerful family of the Empire. He admires him for his diligence in his tasks and his loyalty with such a demanding charge.
Solution Epsilon[]
Upon meeting Solution and witnessing her spoiled attitude, Baldo has a very little opinion of her odious personality, though he does not hate her enough to allow her to fall in misfortune.
