Assassination of Elf King Decem was the assassination of the Elf King of the Elf Country, Decem Hougan, at the hands of the Extra Seat of the Slane Theocracy's Black Scripture, Antilene Heran Fouche. As intended, it effectively ended the conflict between the two nations.
Background[]
Following the rise of the Sorcerer Kingdom and the Fall of the Re-Estize Kingdom, the Slane Theocracy accelerated their war with the Elf Country, intend on quickly settling it so they might re-direct their focus. However, despite their steady progress, the Cardinals were not satisfied and approved a plan to assassinate Elf King Decem.
Unfortunately, their first attempt failed when the Holocaust Scripture targetted the wrong person and were later defeated by the real Elf King. As a result, the Cardinals resorted to sending their strongest God-kin, Antilene Heran Fouche, to do the deed. This was also a personal matter for Antilene, as she was born from the Elf King abducting and violating her mother. While the army assaulted the Elven Capital, Antilene used it as cover to infiltrate the Elven Royal Castle, intent on killing her father.
Elf King Decem, meanwhile, sensed intruders in the treasury and he found two Dark Elves. Concluding them to be his grandchildren, the Elf King ordered them to bear his offspring. This, however, enraged an undead who claimed to be their guardian. Subsequently engaging the monarch, the Undead tricked him into exhausting his MP and destroyed his Earth Elemental. Beaten and humiliated, Decem fled.
Fearing for his life, Decem intended to flee the country. Upon reaching his throne room, however, he found Antilene waiting for him, having massacred everyone inside. Referring to the Elf King as "Father", Decem assumed her to be the mother of the Dark Elves from earlier, causing her to wonder what he was talking about and what could have reduced him to such a state.
Battle[]
Knowing that he cannot win in his current state, Decem turns to flee. Before he can even leave the throne room, however, Antilene instantly closes the distance between them and stabs one of his legs with the scythe, causing him to fall to the ground. The Elf King tries to get up but Antinene places one of her legs on his back, pinning him to the ground.
With the Decem pinned down, Antilene began questioning him about his injuries. However, the Elf King, unable to believe how easily he is being restrained, instead questions her back regarding who she was and why she is doing this to him. In response, Antilene merely states that "the strong can do whatever they want to the weak", pointing out that he had been doing the same thing to others until now.
Antilene then increases the strength in her legs and demands he answers her questions. However, the pressure makes it impossible for the Elf King to breathe, much less talk, only being able to articulate a few grunts. Watching the pathetic display, Antilene voices her disbelief at how such a "small fry" could have been the cause of her mother's suffering.
Decem, meanwhile, is reduced to a crying mess as he slowly suffocates to death, wondering why this was happening to him, all whilst Antilene looks on in disgust. Finally, as the Elf King's body begins to swell up from the lack of oxygen, Antilene decides that she has had enough and crushes his spine, killing him.
Aftermath[]
As she stared at Decem's corpse, Antilene believed he got what he deserved. Still, she would have preferred to have killed him some other way. Looking at the other bodies in the room, she also wonders if she could have spared them.
Soon after, a Dark Elf girl entered the throne room who Antilene assumed her to be the "grandchild" Decem mentioned earlier, her niece. After striking up a conversation, however, she is shocked when the girl introduced herself as Mare Bello Fiore from the Sorcerer Kingdom, causing her to attempt to abduct her. However, she ultimately ended up being defeated and taken prisoner herself. Afterward, Mare [Messaged] Sorcerer King Ainz and the monarch decided to take Antilene back with them for interrogation. This led the Sorcerer Kingdom to discover the Slane Theocracy's role in the Bloody Valkyrie Incident and subsequently declared war on the nation.
Despite Antilene's capture, her mission was still a success: due to Elf King Decem's death, he could not participate in the Assault on the Elven Capital and the city fell to the Theocracy's forces.[1]
