Adamantite (アダマンタイト) is a metal found in YGGDRASIL and the New World.

Description

Adamantite among Orichalcum were ultra rare metals in the New World. Though by YGGDRASIL standards they were a grade below the Prismatic Ores. In addition Adamantite is the highest rank an adventurer could reach.

Appearance

In the Anime, adamantite is portrayed as a polished dark blue to black metal.

Abilities

Adamantite was a rare magical material which was generally known as the hardest metal known in the New World. The metal was highly expensive, so much so that the price of making even a small piece like an adamantite adventurer’s plate was astronomical. Adamantite like most metals can be melted with extreme heat.

Trivia

• So far only six examples of Full Platemail cast out of Adamantite exist in the Overlord series: Guardian Armor, armor worn by the Four Imperial Knights, and Zaryusu Shasha's armor.
• In the official Italian light novel translation and the official subtitled translation of the anime, adamantine is accidentally translated as "adamantio" (in English "adamantium", the fictional metal created by Marvel Comics). This mistranslation appears throughout all light novels and all seasons of the anime.
• In Mass for the Dead, Demiurge made a statue wrought of adamantite in Momonga's image to celebrate the Sorcerer Kingdom's National Foundation Day Ceremony. Approximately a 188 statues of adamantite in Momonga's image were made through the process.
