βγδth (ベガデス) is a bard rock band in Mass for the Dead.
Background[]
While undercover as Regi and Shizu in New Six Arms, Lupusregina Beta and CZ2128 Delta were inspired by a bard in Singing Apple Pavilion singing propaganda of Jircniv Rune Farlord El-Nix brillant role in wiping out a horde of Chaos Beasts threatening E-Rantel. After learning the importance bards played in disseminating information and spreading heroics. The two sought to apply this for the Sorcerer Kingdom, by creating their own band of bards to spread the glory of their nation.

Mass for the Dead Arc[]

The two undercover Pleiades returned to the Great Tomb of Nazarick to pitch their idea to Momonga, Demiurge and Albedo. Part of their plan would be to use the cover story that the Boastful Sage passed on his legacy to the Sorcerer Kingdom. Albedo raised the question on its usefulness as the reputation of their nation was already rock solid with the neighboring nations. Plus bards were supposed to be managed by the Bard's Guild who may take issue with the the Sorcerer Kingdom bards doing promotional lyrics for national interests. Momonga though believed that they should still hear Lupusregina and CZ's plan out and further a bribe could be made to the guild if there are any issues.
After listening to their interest, Momonga saw that their plan would be like an offshoot of the Idol Plan that produced LittleMass. Demiurge also had not issue for the plan, though suggested that an experiment take place in Nazarick before fully implementing to the human city of E-Rantel. But when he suggested that they cooperate with the protagonist, Momonga rejected the idea on the grounds that the Territory Guardian was too occupied with managing the city. Instead Momonga would assign Narberal Gamma to assist the team and the discretion of the newly formed Bard Plan would be left to Lupusregina.
Pandora's Actor was called into support the trio and at Momonga's command, collected every musical theme item in the Treasury and brought them to the Guest Room where the Bard Plan team was working. From the selection of items, Narberal selected the stand mic while CZ selected the electric guitar. After receiving the items, the trio headed to Ashurbanipal to do research on their musical items. In the literature they found, the women became enthralled by the genre of rock music and decided to form a rock band. Narberal and CZ acquired rock theme articles to wear and they along with Lupusregina pitch their idea to Momonga, Albedo and Demiurge.
Aside from their flashy attire, they made an argument that rock was a genre that was based in anti-establishment themes and could be used to deceive the other nations of the New World. Particularly in that if they presented an image that the Sorcerer Kingdom would also such elements to criticize the home country, then it would give the other nations the impression that the Sorcerer Kingdom was weak. While it would spread the reputation of the Sorcerer Kingdom, it would also serve to lower guards of foreign nationals coming into to spy on their operations, allowing Nazarick to subvert them. Despite having no familiarity with rock, Momonga agreed to go along with the plan, as it impressed that he would, and that he could not stymied the passion of the Pleiades.
The trio went to the 6th Floor to seek Mare Bello Fiore and Aura Bella Fiora for guidance as the former of the twins was involved in the planning of the Idol Plan. Mare. During the discussion with the twins, Aura coined Lupusregina the manager of the budding rock group and provided advice on the lyrical work.
Later the group made their first debut in the corridors of the 9th Floor, attracting the attention of the general maids. At first the maids believed that it was a new idol show, but after seeing the novel music realized that it was a different but entertaining venture. Foire and Cixous were enthusiastic on the rock band, and pointed out that the band did not have a name.
At the second venue, the Bar on the 9th Floor, the two general maids formally introduced the rock band as βγδth. Among the crowd in the bar that came to watch was Yuri Alpha, Entoma Vasilissa Zeta, and Shalltear Bloodfallen. Once the show in the bar was gone, Demiurge approached Shalltear for a task concerning βγδth. Meanwhile, βγδthmade various appearance all over the dungeon for the maids enjoyment. However while at the Guest Room which was being used as the band's dressing room, Lupusreina, CZ and Narberal got into a heated argument over the content of the scandalizing lyrics on Momonga and their nation. Disaster was averted when Shalltear interrupted the spat and upon seeing the tension, invited the rock band to a subjugation session in the Throne Room where they could vent their anger on the Chaos Beasts. After the women got their frustrations out of their system they apologized to one another for their behavior. Shalltear having been previously tasked by Demiurge to ensure that the band remained stable then offered a formal challenge by their precessdor, LittleMasStar for a final live show in the Amphitheater.
The two group regroup at the arena, before a crowd of NPCs. In the end, the idol group came out victorious due to their experience, but were greatly impressed by the rock band and encouraged them to keep improving for future collaborations. In the aftermath of the experiment, Momonga deemed the plan for βγδth to be a huge success and wanted to begin implementing the experiment in E-Rantel. At the recommendation of the protagonist, Momonga agreed that to avoid a severe rejection of rock culture by the humans of the New World, elements of rock would need to be slowly introduced, starting with new prototypes of the electric guitar and stand mic. Momonga permitted the protagonist to contract Tsuibayaya to prepare the items.
To spread the word of the items and introduce them to the bards of New World, Lupusregina and CZ brought one of the first prototypes, the electric guitar, to Arwintar.[1]
Strength[]
While a new group, the rock band possess three members of the Pleiades, equipped with magic items theme for rock music. After much practice, the band incorporated not only lyrics but dance moves into their attacks.

- The name of the rock band is a combination of the participants names: B (Beta) , γ (Gamma) and δ (Delta). While the "th" at the end is from the word DEATH.
