Imagine that, sometime around the games launch, you ended up in the world of Yggdrasil. For the sake of discussion lets assume that you're a player from a rich family, letting you play for sixteen hours a day. How would you prepare for the new world that you knew you would be sucked into if you simply stayed online on the game's last day?
I'd stack up on item to cash conversion devices. Ainz's main concern is that his Yggrasil money was finite, albeit large. A renewable supply with the devices secured in a dungeon would extremely efficient. Then use the direct dev access world item and ask for in-game access to the cash shop.
Well id play the game religiously like my life depended on it (cuz it does) and try to spec into classes that give special advantages in the new world like ainz's eclipse
Id join a group that i knew would get transported with me like the 6 god or 8 greed kings, preferably ainz ooal gown
Id also blow a few thousand dollars and get as many wish upon a star rings as i could.
If i ended up joining nazarick instead of T8GK or T6GG then id try to convince hero hero to stay online for another hour so he gets transported to
Granted, you have 12 years to accomplish this. Why stop at a few thousand, why not a hundred thousand, on every possible item
Both of your ideas are great but you're forgetting one crucal thing! You're practically a god in Yggdrasil. I'd get to level one hundred, get a few level one hundred friends and conquer as high leveled of a guild base as possible. Then I'd do my best to become as OP as possible until all my friends quit at which point I'd simply delete all the NPC's and replace them with my own custom coded harem of Albedos
I honestly thought of this question based off of an Overlord fanfiction I read called Chaotic Good. It was under a similar principle except the guy was born into a poor as hell life in an orphanage. He decided to take a different approach, joining the game during the beta and befriending the developers. By the time he actually made it to the new world he'd managed to convince the developers to add an item that allowed players to transcend the level max. Granted, it was only added in the very last week of the game... but he still managed to reach roughly level 200. He more or less exploited the hell out of the game and the developers trust in him to the point he eventually managed to start duplicating world items. Still managed to make himself two level 100 girls that were in love with him though.
I’d choose a race that is immortal (and preferably has genitals, unlike Ainz), then join a competent guild who will help me acquire lots of resources and a high-level guild base. Next, I’d make the most powerful build I possibly could, with only the best of the best gear I could get my hands on. Cash Shop items are a must, I’d spare no expenses, using my wealth in the real world to it’s absolute limit, perhaps “befriending” some devs to acquire world items as well. Finally, when YGGDRASIL shuts down, and I have hundreds of metric tons of cash items, money making items, as well as a stock of world items, and an army of unfalteringly loyal immortal fox-girls, I enter the New World as the single most powerful entity to ever exist.
I would hake my lore, so that it said that I was a genius that cant be compared, so that it would come true. I would then make all my NPC's lore in a way that would make them incredibly but also evil, so that they can do what must be done. and of course stock pile up all my recourses, mostly mercenary books though, as you cant get them in the new world
What do you think?
