@Srypelican Bad news for everyone. YP only translate the light novel itself. They do not release side-stories, collaborations, and bonus materials. As long as it's not part of the volume itself, it won't be translate. For example, there won't be any english release for the Drama CD. They wouldn't even bother hiring a team of english voice actors and enact 1-hour long conversation. So yeah curse Yen Press.
No matter how you turn it around, we're screwed. There's still hope that someone will smuggle it onto 4chan and similar sites and then it'll get multiplied. Theroetically it should be possible to get hands on it if one looks hard enough ( plus plot summary that we'll prolly have )
@anon I just hate how they get an official license to do their translation, yet can't match the comprehensiveness of the fan translations. (or the speed) Should honestly just have given the license to the people at skythewood :(.
That's politics for ya. Money talks, not competence.
Money is everything to them, what can we do? ( TT_TT )
^It's intentional. If they bulk release 1 volume per month then they'll easily run of out of business. They are professionals and its their job. They have more time than fantranslators who only translate on their free time. They could even finish translating it in less than a week compared to sky if they wanted to.
Too bad though that compared to sky's translation quality, they suck. It will feel like a different novel because it will be localized to suit american taste. No more Japanese reference like Lupusregina's -su~. Fvk weabos. Fvk 'merica. Fvk Yen Press.
Wow, the slow translation release is bullsh*t -_-. So to read a book that's already released you have to fucking wait 3-4 years or learn Japanese? Wow I lost respect for Yen Press
Well, looks like Sky anounced what they are going to do, they will keep translating untill the 31st of December (plenty of time to catch up to to relesed material) and then stop so they don't get a DMCA which may result in the site getting shut down.
